Three day course

(Because of the size and extra work that is involver paddle boards are a four day course.)

Make your board your own in our fully equipped workshop.

Day 1

​

Review your plans.

Prepare and assemble the framework and formers.

Cut the hull shape from plywood.

Set up clamp jig to form hull contours.

Glue framework and formers to the hull and clamp to harden overnight.

Day 2

​

Make the tail and nose sections and glue to the hull.

Create rails by gluing timber strips to the hull, glue in fin and plug strengthening blocks.

Sand down and shape rails ready to attach the deck.

Cut deck from plywood.

Strengthen deck with fibreglass.

Glue deck and clamp up in the jig to harden over night.

Day 3

Remove board from jig/clamp.

Sand back nose, rails and tail to create the final shape.

Work on fin, breather and leash plugs.

Add any custom finishes such as stripes and decals.

Sign the hull with the dimensions of the board and your signature.

Finishing

​

The board is now ready to be fibreglassed. We can arrange for your board to be sent to fibreglass specialists and your board can be sent to you or collected in person once finished. Or take home raw and fibreglass yourself.
